Dream bikes and frames
Bikemotion Show
The BMC Lamborghini collaboration…
not really my thing, this was more interesting, a BMC “Time Machine”
brake housing …
The thing I find off putting about the BMC’s with naked carbon is you see all the
carbon patched together, especially on the top tube, now you wouldn’t find that on my C50 .
2013 Colnago M10s…
the 2013 Colnago C59 Italia..
the colour scheme on this seems to pay homage to the lugging of the Arabesque
new headtube decal/logo as well
a new Colnago/Ferrari collaboration…
and the Colnago Wold Cup CX,
Look with a stunning head tube…
I just had to turn it…
Cinelli were present also, with a new twist on the legendary Laser
De Rosa, with some interesting contemporary steel frames
And Somec…
Good to see some proper steel bikes still being made available.
Colnago Sweet Shop
L’Anjou Velo Vintage 2012
I saw this on a stall at L’Anjou,
the vendors own bike
he was French, and me being a simpleton and not understanding much,
the best I could get was he said it was “Artisan, from Paris”
I assume the brand is ‘Laetitia”
I manged to find my own Colnago Nuovo Mexico
(full pantographia) some good company
a Colnago Arabesque
and an exquisite early Master Olympic, with panto’d
Colnago Campagnolo Cobalto Calipers
(try saying that after 3 pints of Guiness)

Life’s A Box of Chocolates
I was out on one of my bike scouting missions today.
I ended up in the middle of nowhere (it seemed), , in the rain, waiting at a bus stop.
I’d past a bike shop on the way, so I walked back to get in out of the rain whilst waiting for my next ride.
I walked in and saw this
a circa ’85 Colnago Super in Saronni Red
The Gentleman told me he did the 1985 Tour De France on it.
Stunning!
I walked to the back of the shop, and saw this
the Gentleman said he did a tour on this.
He told me he kept asking Eddy Merckx for a bike, and
eventually,
Eddy gave him this
Eddy won on it in 1976
I’d never seen this before either
The frameset is a De Rosa
The Gentleman also showed me these
The pictures are poor,
I was in a rush,and punch-drunk at what I’d witnessed, and didn’t want to cause a fuss,
but I’ll compose my self and hopefully the Gentleman will allow me to take some more/better shots.
Forest Gump was right about the chocolates though.
