Dutch Cross Frame Bikes
I found a couple of these in the early autumn sun..
the seat looks more like a sling/hammock than a saddle,
this one was next to an immaculate vintage Fiat 500
and I’ve always got time for a vintage Porsche 911…

Gios Torino!
I saw this whilst out on a ride …
Complete with Gios fork crown coins…

Left in the dark….
I was in Zurich recently for a short stay, and I’m impressed with the cycle culture there,a lot of vintage road bikes with gears and a flat bar set up, I saw a Gios, De Rosa, Eddy Merckx and 4 Colnagos, including a Master in Isotar decor and C record gruppo with delta’s all being ridden quite nonchalantly… when I went out for a drink one evening, I came across this locked to a post in the dark..a vintage Colnago Super,
apologies for poor picture quality, I only had my Blackberry,
the bike had a Colnago pantographed gruppo!
Futura v La Carrera Prototype Colnago Master
I saw this for sale on ebay.com, and contacted the vendor to ask if I could write about it, and , graciously, he agreed.
Nadir with La Carrera collaborated with graffiti artists Stash and Futura on a project called “Look Mum, No Brakes”
The roadbike was a prototype for 38 track frames painted by the graffiti artists,
The wheels were painted in 2011 by Futura as a gift to Nadir to compliment the bike
the decor on the pista frames,
The roadbike is unique, and has a $110, 000 buy it now price here,

Colnago Mexico ESA 1988
I bought this from a Gentleman who was the chair of an amateur cycling club, so I guess it’s an ex-pro frame given the number tag under the top tube.
I will add a 1988 Campagnolo Chorus gruppo I took from a donor bike, that is aged, so will complement the frame.
I tried out the bull bars,
but I don’t really like the look aesthetically,so I’ll use Cinelli stem and Cinelli Giro drop bars.
This feels right!
the top tube bears a little scar,
but the underside is in better condition…
here’s the frameset partialy built up with a 1988 Campagnolo Chrous 7 speed gruppo,
oh, and on a 1988 Cinelli bike stand….
